The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed in regards to the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach SRD Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance issue developed for intervention encounters a superior influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all shoppers and improve usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
